We prepare our lunches with fresh in season home-grown grown organic produce (we grow it ourselves), local cheeses and meats. Special diets are accommodated on request, and we’ve got fabulous vegetarian, vegan, low fat, low/no sugar, low/no fructose recipes. We cook with only pure virgin avocado, olive, sesame, or coconut oils, or pasture raised butter or tallow as per your recommendation. We adhere to a strict recycle and waste avoidance policy.

Trips are eight hours in duration and start between 06:00 – 07:00 a.m. (weather permitting). We will stay out longer if you’d like and will always fuel up accordingly. Believe it or not time goes by so fast that soon you’ll realize the 8 hours have passed. Your guide, Capt. Francisco is properly trained insured and authorized by federal and park authorities, and bilingual. Capt. Francisco’s Twitter account is @loretobluewhale and his Instagram account is @bluewhalecaptain

No deposit is required. We send excursions as long as the weather cooperates. For all Loreto Marina departures payment is made after services are rendered or just before boarding the boat.

When the blue whales are south of Loreto and if you are staying at Villas del Palmar, Puerto Escondido, Tripui, or Loreto Bay, you may be picked up and dropped off on the designated shoreline in front of the resort/port at the beginning and end of your trip (weather permitting). This allows you to be able to spend more time with the whales and less in transit. Pre-payment of the excursion is required for this arrangement. Please note; use fees apply for Puerto Escondido facilities and are additional to the cost of excursion. The natural shorelines and beaches in front of the resorts have no additional use fee.

If staying in the town of Loreto, your excursion will begin and end at the marina in Loreto.
