Welcome to Loreto Blue Whales.
Loreto is on the Sea of Cortez and is visited by blue whales, finback whales, humpback whales, killer whales (orcas), pilot whales, sperm whales, sei whales, minke whales, Bryde’s whales, grey whales and more. February and March are the peak months for Blue Whale viewing. Generally the peak dates for blue whales off Loreto are: February 14th through March 20th. Several of these whale species are residents of the Sea of Cortez and migrate through the Loreto area throughout the year.
